On 23rd November 2011 at 9.00 a.m., the symbolic completion took place as the accomplishment of the investment entitled "The development of technical infrastructure of the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park". The ribbon was cut by: The Mayor of Bydgoszcz, Rafał Bruski, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BPPT, Piotr Stachowski, the President of the Management Board of BPPT, Łukasz Niedźwiecki, and Management Board Member, Andrzej Półgrabski. Next, a press conference was held where the effects of the investment’s accomplishment were presented, as well as the prospects for the development of the Park.
When the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park was established as an industrial area, in some parts of the Park there was no infrastructure at all, while in others it was not very functional, which did not meet the investors' expectations and was not compliant with the roads specified in the applicable Local Spatial Development Scheme.
The Park subsequently met the expectations of the investors and, in 2010, the project entitled "The development of technical infrastructure of the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park" was begun. The main aim of the project was to create conditions for conducting business activity for investors who were planning to locate their business within the area of Bydgoszcz, especially in the Industrial and Technological Park. The project, with a value of over PLN 44 million gross, is the largest undertaking of the Park (it was financed from the Regional Operational Programme of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province for the years 2007-2013 Priority 5, Measure 5.6 for the years 2007-2013, and from state budget funds).
The result of BBPT's efforts is the complex development of investment land. The following were prepared for the needs of present and future investors:
The attractiveness of BPPT’s location was increased by creating an external road axis connecting Glinki Street to the Bydgoszcz ring road (S-10). Moreover, the Park grounds also have access to the railway (four railway crossings have been rebuilt) and, soon, a city bus connection will be launched.
The aim of the investment was to improve the competitiveness of BPPT and, simultaneously, to improve the business activity conditions for the companies located within the Park area, as well as for new investors, which, as a consequence, will allow for the creation of up to one thousand new jobs for the inhabitants of Bydgoszcz and neighbouring communities.
To showcase the efforts of the employees of the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park, a celebration meeting was held at the "Słoneczny Młyn" Hotel in Bydgoszcz. The guests had an opportunity to watch a film showing the effects of the accomplished project and, simultaneously, the complex offer of our Park. There were also some explicatory speeches. The floor during the celebration was taken by: The Chairwoman of the Sejmik of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Dorota Jakuta, the Vice-Governor of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Zbigniew Ostrowski, the Coordinator of the Investors and Enterprises’ Assistance Team, Edyta Wiwatowska, and the President of the Management Board of BPPT, Łukasz Niedźwiecki. The culmination of the investment’s accomplishment was a concert given by Zbigniew Wodecki, and a banquet.
Once again, we would like to thank all the entities engaged in the accomplishment of the investment, as well as all of those who accompanied us in these important moments. We would like to express our gratitude to all the guests. We were pleased to entertain you.
